Moped Projet : First round of mods
I purchased my 1978 Puch Maxi in bone stock form. So, after a few rides where I was barely able to get up some hills in my neighborhood, I made a trip at lunch time to 1977 Mopeds at 16th and Valencia in San Francisco. I ended up ditching the stock 12mm carb and went with a slightly larger 15mm Bing. I also got a bigger intake manifold to match and a foam filter to replace the stock airbox. Installed a new throttle cable, bolted it all up, adjusted the timing on the carb, and now it rips pretty good. I took a quick and dirty pic with my iPhone. Plenty more to come..
