Slomo started freaking out for no reason, so I looked outside to see what was going on and saw a neighbors house going up in flames. No one was on the scene yet. But like a good photo robot, I first grabbed my camera then ran out the door. Right after I took the top sloppy shot, I ran over to the house to help my neighbor James, who arrived on the scene and started spraying the flames with a garden hose. You can see in the shots how it was pouring rain as well. Within 5 minutes, Oakland Fire Department was on the scene to squash it. Definitely not your typical Saturday night.
