I thought this was amazing and worth sharing.
I've been doing a lot of stuff at work related to the upcoming Olympics and it got me reminiscing of the 84 Olympics in Los Angeles; the only one I've experienced in person. I clearly remember the orange and turquoise theme.
Guess I'll post a couple other music vids that jumped out at me this week.. Kind of at opposite ends of the time spectrum.

I wish more places in SF were still like this. Reminds me of when I used to visit the city when I was younger and how much enjoyed the stark contrast from the sterility of OC. Now, so much is the same wherever you roam in the US. I'll probably keep going back to this spot more for the vibe then the food. Sucker for the wood panel and orange signage combo.
Found these guys after peeling back some bark on a fallen tree. Always nice to feel small when looking at something so much smaller.
I found some old issues of HeartattaCk in pdf format online. HeartattaCk is a hardcore/punk zine out of Goleta, CA that I did some photographs and record reviews for during their first few issues before I got bored of 'scene' routines. . Definitely a huge influence on me still today.
fifa 05 has way too many bugs. maybe 06 is better? regardless, still my favorite game by far..
I think the last time I made a diaorama was for a kindergarten project. All I remember is that there were dinosaurs involved. This guy Wilco takes the 'artform' to a new level with extremely detailed dioramas of garages. As my brother said when I showed him his site, "there are some long winters in Europe."
A high school's afterschool 'percussion ensemble' plays a couple songs from DJ Shadow's 'Entroducing' album.. It's interesting to see music go completely full circle..
This night reminded me why Oakland is where it's at. .
